I have so many things going on right now...If you don't mind following the ramblings, ENJOY. If you do mind, just stop reading now.
Malia is getting so big. Check it out...she's such a happy baby!
My mom comes over and watched her the few days a week I'm at work. I have to admit I'm jealous. I want to be there to play the smilely circle game. (You know, I smile at her so she smiles at me so I smile at her so she smiles...you get the picture) It can go on for a half hour. I want to be stay at home mom. Every day I leave confirms it a little more. I guess Arizona here we come. Stock up on the sunblock.
And onto a totally differnt topic. Her she is with her daddy. This is how they "watch" football together. And he gets irritated if he wakes up and I've changed the channel. How dare I watch something else while he is "watching" football. Bad me.
And I have a new hobby. Digital scrapbooking. It is too much fun. If I start my own business, which I keep threatening to do but still haven't done it, this is what I want to do. I keep hearing that scrapping for others is getting to be big business. I'm just going to take it to the digital level. Here's some of my creations:
I'm sure someone would pay me to do this for them. I mean c'mon I live in south OC. They have doggy day cares that come to your house to pick up your dog. And those Newport Beach stay at home moms are too bust taking their precious little ones to mommy & me classes in their $700 strollers to do it themselves. Bingo! I can fill that niche. What'd you think...
I think thats enough for now. If you made it this far, I'm impressed. And just to get my business going, I'll do layout for the first person to leave a comment that they want one. I'll even send you a hard copy print, no charge. Hey, everyone needs a gimmick.
See, another ploy to get comments...

Now, how can I turn down such a great offer?! Those are GREAT, Cheri! I wish I knew how to do something like that. If you're willing, I'd love to be your aforementioned first customer! ;-)
P.S. If you like scrapbooking, you should check out Jen's blog, "Searching For Me." I've linked to it on my blog. She sometimes posts her scrapbook layouts, and she has a link on the side of her blog to a site where she posts ALL of her layouts.

Cool!!! Can I ask you where you found all the little things you added in to your pictures? I don't know if I have the patience to do real scrapbooking [or the desire to have all the paraphenalia] but I think I could do it on the computer....
Sigh... what to do with all the hundreds of pictures and hours of video of our baby....

i know what you mean by the hundreds of pictures (i just counted and we have over 500 in just over 2 months)...damn this digital era. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm starting to get pretty good at this.

I LOVE the idea of digital scrapbooking but as with many things, I haven't got around to trying it myself. Your pages look fantastic, what a great memento for Malia.
I know exactly what you mean about wanting to be at home instead of at work....I still battle with that every day.

Cheri,
I have to start by saying that I love the scrapbook pages. As a scrapper myself, I like the solitude and peace it brings me to sit and cut and paste and make pictures look like a real part of the memory - trying to capture the mood and happiness...
About the rest of your post... Well, I had a rough time each day going to work after V was born - right up until the day I quit to be a SAHM. I was filled with sadness that someone else got to spend those smiley times with her - and that I actually PAID that person to enjoy my daughter's babyhood. It was awful. I did get to have that experience with A, since she was born after I stayed home. But, I do understand and remember clearly how hard it was going to work when someone else was caring for my sweet baby.
Now, I pray every day that someone else would take them off my hands for a few hours. :)
God bless! (and thanks for sharing the scrapbook pages - what a totally neat idea!! And I bet it WOULD be a lucrative business!)
