Sh*t Howdy

Really, people out there an the net have a facination with bodily functions lately and their web searches keep finding me! WTF!?!

Today's winners, taken directly from the seach engine:
"barney taking a dump"
"bear pooping pictures"

I'm not sure what is worse, the fact that people are looking for these things or that I'm coming up on these searches...

Little Miss Entrepreneur

I am joining the ranks of those who have yet another product to offer the masses. I am officially throwing my hat into the ring.  I'm lucky. If it works, yay, I have a little extra cash to play with. If not, no big deal...most of this grapic arts stuff is really easier than it looks, but please don't tell my potential customers.

The thing I'm looking forward to the most? I mean besides people liking my stuff enough to pay me to do it...

I can get paid by credit card. How cool is that. Little ole me taking plastic...sounds kinda impressive, doesn't it. Well, it does to me at least.

Take care & Happy Thanksgiving!

"A" for effort...

..."F" for execution.

I feel myself turning into "mom" more and more every day. Here's today's story.

Bra Malia was hungry. No big deal, she is often hungry. I was all ready to whip out a boob and quench her thist. I lift my shirt, unbuckle my bra...but wait the buckle is gone. (and for those of you who have no experince with the nursing bra thing, it is a contraption that allows easy access to the boob in case of emergency. And I'm finding out that anytime a baby is hungry its an emergency to them!)

It was the right bra. I know some of you are saying "oh she must have grabbed the wrong bra out of the bra drawer." Yeah, like I'm organized enough to have a bra drawer anyway. I am still looking for the buckle and not finding it. The problem?

I had it on backwards. I had it on most of the morning and didn't figure it out. Go me!

In other news, w eare getting quite adept at eating in public. I don't go and hide to have my dinner, neither should Malia. The only downside to feeding her in a restaurant is that I'm a messy eater and I keep dropping food on her. I'm ordering less food with sauces becuse it just means I have to give her a bath when I get home.

And the Envelope Please...

The next MOTW is Holly. I'm looking forward to asking questions and getting the answers. Head on over and see whats happening there.

MOTW- take 2

So I'm going to answer a few more questions and I really like the seahorse one, so Sue is the lucky one who get answers to the universe today...ok maybe not THE universe, but MY universe anyway!

1. Your job sounds awesome. If you had to do something else, what would it be?
Nothing right now. Maybe I'd teach swimming part time but thats all I can think of right now.

2. What's the most exotic place you've ever visited?
Zihuatanejo, Mexico. I really like saying the name too. Its not the jungles of Borneo or the mountains in Nepal, but for a simple girl from southern California tis good enough. And while not very exotic, I really want to go surfing in Austrailia and hike around New Zealand!

3. What do you love about seahorses?
Honestly...the males give birth. I don't have a high threshold for pain. I wanted the epidural as soon as I had my first contraction and if you are a no drugs kinda girl, thats great, but it will never, not a chance in hell, be me. And as far as when I got my epidural...they made me wait the obligitory 4cm.

4. What's the best thing about being a working mom? And the biggest challenge?
The best thing is I can provide health insurance. I love what I do but I would give it up in heartbeat to stay home. We actually might pack it up and move to Arizona so we can afford  just that.

And even though it has nothing to do with MOTW, here's the latest favorite layout.

Grab Bag

I have so many things going on right now...If you don't mind following the ramblings, ENJOY. If you do mind, just stop reading now.

Malia is getting so big. Check it out...she's such a happy baby!

Boppy11My mom comes over and watched her the few days a week I'm at work. I have to admit I'm jealous. I want to be there to play the smilely circle game. (You know, I smile at her so she smiles at me so I smile at her so she smiles...you get the picture) It can go on for a half hour. I want to be stay at home mom. Every day I leave confirms it  a little more. I guess Arizona here we come. Stock up on the sunblock.

And onto a totally differnt topic. Her she is with her daddy. This is how they "watch" football together.  And he gets irritated if he wakes up and I've changed the channel. How dare I watch something else while he is "watching" football. Bad me.

And I have a new hobby. Digital scrapbooking. It is too much fun. If I start my own business, which I keep threatening to do but still haven't done it, this is what I want to do. I keep hearing that scrapping for others is getting to be big business. I'm just going to take it to the digital level. Here's some of my creations:

Maui1 Princess1_2

I'm sure someone would pay me to do this for them. I mean c'mon I live in south OC. They have doggy day cares that come to your house to pick up your dog. And those Newport Beach stay at home moms are too bust taking their precious little ones to mommy & me classes in their $700 strollers to do it themselves. Bingo! I can fill that niche. What'd you think...

I think thats enough for now. If you made it this far, I'm impressed. And just to get my business going, I'll do layout for the first person to leave a comment that they want one. I'll even send you a hard copy print, no charge. Hey, everyone needs a gimmick.

See, another ploy to get comments...

MOTW- Take 1

Since its my blog and I can do what I want I'll answer questions when I think I have decent replies for them. Not to say all of the questions aren't good, just some of them require more thought than others.

Sandi- I'm 29 years old, born and raised in Southern California (yup, the OC) with one sister...

Kelly- about the title...We kept the gender of our little girl a surprise for birth. I didn't know either way so I picked a couple of things that to me said boy or girl. As for the 5 things about me I'm just going to steal a few of my favorites from my "100 things" list.

1. I was named after my Uncle Sherwod...everyone just called him Sherry.
2. I hate bananas and hot dogs. I usually won't even sit at a table where they are being consumed.
3. I have a giant stuffed lobster on my desk at work.
4. I am highly allergic to shelfish (shrimp, lobster, crab...) and can't eat it. Bummer
5. I had my tounge pierced. I really liked it but I couldn't wear it while i worked at the state park.

Jen- Humboldt is known for it alternative agriculture and hippies who never really made it out of the 60's. I didn't take part in either lifestyle but people still get that look in thier eyes everytime I say something about it. The real reason was that my parents said I could go to school anywhere in the state of California and Humboldt State Univ was the farthest away I could go and still stay in state lines. It was 600 miles from home. I could have gone to school in New Mexico and still have been closer.

I'll answer the other questions soon... It's my little ploy to keep people coming back.

I wish I could write like this...

But even though I can't she put it into words perfectly. Check out A Little Bit Pregant and see what I mean.

I have already promised many of these things to Malia...

Pick Me! Pick Me!

OK, so its me! I'm the next MOTW (mother of the week for those of you who didn't know). So now do you ask me those hard hitting questions?  Am I ready for them? Do I really have a choice.

I look forward to all the questions adn I look forward to answering them, I think... Thanks Jen for picking me...

Another Bottle of Whine?

I don't want to be at work. Not right now. Not really ever.

I'd like to be stay at home mom. Stay at home mom would be fun. But that just isn't going to happen here in Southern California. Bummer.

I want them to fire my office partner (from here on known as Total Dumbass). It won't happen. Maybe Total Dumbass take that "early retirement" offer. (Which is just a very nice way of saying "we really don't like you, you are a pain in the ass, you don't do your job anyway, maybe you'll go away.") But I think he's too dumb to take it. Getting fired from the city is pretty much impossible though, so I'm stuck.

I want to make more money. Yeah, doesn't everyone?  But I still want more. And I deserve it. I've had to put up with Total Dumbass for years now.

And for those of you who have been to my office and are thinking "stop complaining, I've seen where you work" well...pbtttttt (insert big raspberry here)...its too bright and I'm getting a headach from the glare.

Oh well. Sometimes its just nice to vent. And if  you need to vent too, go for it. Misery loves company. Not that I'm really miserable, its just a saying.

On a happy note, I get to go home in 5 minutes and see my baby girl. She's been playing all afternoon with grandma.
